Dr Alasdair Mort
Founder & Chief Executive Officer
An inventor of MIME® and a human physiologist, Alasdair has a medical device PhD from the University of Aberdeen's Centre for Rural Health (Inverness) and a long-term interest in exploring technologies for monitoring casualty health. He has extensive industry experience evaluating life-support technologies for air, land and sea. Alasdair worked in aircrew protection for QinetiQ (Farnborough), previously the UK MOD's Defence Evaluation Research Agency. He conducted altitude protection research, was an altitude-experience facilitator, and evaluated some of the very latest aircrew technologies. Alasdair is passionate about developing a high-growth company for the Highland region of Scotland.
Founder & Director of Customer Development
A co-founder of MIME®, Anne has specialist knowledge in the application of new technologies for pre-hospital care settings, with international publications in emergency response and voluntary first aid. She has established long-term relationships with remote care providers throughout her career and continues to hold honorary status with the University of Aberdeen. Anne has previously held positions at the Centre for Rural Health (Inverness), the University of Aberdeen's Digital Economy Hub, NHS Information Services Division and Scottish Government.
Ian Stevens is a graduate of Edinburgh University, former Royal Air Force officer and chartered accountant. Ian has an exceptional career, currently serving as Chief Executive Officer of Biofilm. His previous roles have included CFO for Optos plc, a medical technology company specialising in the imaging of the retina, where he went on to be General Manager, for North America in Boston, USA. In addition, Ian has served as Chief Executive Officer of Mpathy Medical, a surgical medical device company and in 2011 he joined prosthetic hand manufacturer, Touch Bionics, as Chief Executive Officer. Mpathy was sold to Danish surgical medical device manufacturer Coloplast in 2010 and Touch Bionics was sold to Icelandic Orthotic and Prosthetic manufacturer Ossur in 2016.
Dr Tim Stevenson
With a 31 year portfolio career in medicine and a previous role as Head of Health Services for a British airline, Tim brings a wealth of clinical expertise to the MIME Technologies team. As well as being an experienced Aviation Medical Examiner, he is also an approved medical examiner of Divers and an approved Doctor with The MCA.
A software developer and project manager with over 20 years experience, Tony has run his own successful business since moving to the Highlands nearly 10 years ago. He has extensive experience developing apps for all of the core smartphone / tablet operating systems and is passionate about the opportunities for technology to proactively assist with management of information in medical emergencies.

With an Msc in Entrepreneurship, Innovation & Technology from University of Strathclyde, Doretta is a disciplined and dedicated professional with exceptional communication skills. She is currently leading the development and implementation of the marketing strategy.
Dr Chris Williams
BASICS Immediate Care Clinical Expert
Dr. Chris Williams is an accredited instructor for teaching Pre-hospital Emergency Care, BASICS Immediate Medical Care and Prehospital Paediatric Life Support. Dr Williams is also a practicing GP in the Highland region and has an ongoing professional interest in remote and rural medicine.
