A co-founder, Anne is an experienced med-tech professional with a track record of managing successful customer focused innovation. She is leading a results, impact and outcomes focused phase of growth, having successfully raised multiple rounds of investment from both public and private sources. Throughout her career she has worked with several international teams, using her specialist knowledge in the application of new technologies for pre-hospital care settings. She has international publications in emergency response and voluntary first aid, maintaining established long-term relationships with remote care providers. She holds an honorary status with the University of Aberdeen.
Dr Alasdair Mort
Founder & Chief Operations Officer
An inventor and human physiologist, Alasdair has a medical device PhD from the University of Aberdeen's Centre for Rural Health (Inverness) and a long-term interest in exploring technologies for monitoring casualty health. He has extensive industry experience evaluating life-support technologies for air, land and sea. Alasdair worked in aircrew protection for QinetiQ (Farnborough), previously the UK MOD's Defence Evaluation Research Agency. He conducted altitude protection research, was an altitude-experience facilitator, and evaluated some of the very latest aircraft technologies. Alasdair is passionate about helping to develop a high-growth company for the Highland region of Scotland.
Ian Stevens is a graduate of Edinburgh University, former Royal Air Force officer and chartered accountant. Ian has an exceptional career, currently serving as Chief Executive Officer of BSolve Dental. His previous roles have included CFO for Optos plc, a medical technology company specialising in the imaging of the retina, where he went on to be General Manager, for North America in Boston, USA. In addition, Ian has served as Chief Executive Officer of Mpathy Medical, a surgical medical device company and in 2011 he joined prosthetic hand manufacturer, Touch Bionics, as Chief Executive Officer. Mpathy was sold to Danish surgical medical device manufacturer Coloplast in 2010 and Touch Bionics was sold to Icelandic Orthotic and Prosthetic manufacturer Ossur in 2016.
Jill has extensive financial expertise as a Chartered Accountant within a variety of industries and financial roles. Additionally, Jill has worked with med tech companies for the last 16 years. She is currently CFO of Spaceright Europe Limited and was CFO of BSolve Dental, a manufacturer of thin dissolving film. Prior to that she was CFO of AIM listed LiDCO Group plc, a manufacturer of hemodynamic monitors and from 2011 to 2016 was CFO at prosthetic hand manufacturer, Touch Bionics until its acquisition by Össur. In 2004, she joined Optos plc, a provider of retinal imaging devices and spent seven years there becoming Director of Finance.
Non Executive Director
Paul is a Non Executive Director. He brings extensive experience of Aviation IT and a broad perspective to MIME, having held senior global roles in Fujitsu, SITA and IBS. He has lived and worked around the world and has experience in running software businesses as well as sales, business development, commercial and program management functions. He is, in addition, a co-founder of a Mobile Apps business. Paul also represents the company's investment syndicate.
Dr Tim Stevenson
Aviation Medicine Adviser
With a 31 year portfolio career in medicine and a previous role as Head of Health Services for Virgin Atlantic Airways and medical adviser to Easyjet, Tim brings a wealth of clinical expertise to the MIME Technologies team. As well as being an experienced Aviation Medical Examiner, he is also an approved medical examiner of Divers and an approved Doctor with The MCA. Tim is passionate about sailing and has been the Medical adviser and a crew member on RNLI Shoreham Harbour Lifeboat for almost 30 years.
A software developer and project manager with over 20 years' experience, Tony has run his own successful business since moving to the Highlands over 10 years ago. He has extensive experience developing apps for all of the core smartphone / tablet operating systems and is passionate about the opportunities for technology to proactively assist with managing in-flight medical emergencies.
With an Msc in Entrepreneurship, Innovation & Technology from University of Strathclyde, Doretta is a disciplined and dedicated professional with exceptional communication skills. She is currently leading the development and implementation of the marketing strategy.
Design & Compliance Engineer
Ryan graduated from the University of Strathclyde with a BEng Hons in Sports Engineering. He is originally from Inverness, a Highlander returning home. Ryan has previously participated in the ScotGrad Programme, part funded by Highlands and Islands Enterprise and European Regional Development Fund. He has experience developing products with both young companies and large international ones such as Adidas. Ryan has an entrepreneurial spirit and is the newest member of the Research and Development team. His expertise will be utilised for working on ongoing technical projects, which are part of our company technology roadmap and new product developments.
